ROBIN FREEMAN has been named director of public relations at the San Francisco Symphony. She goes to the SFS following posts as associate director of communications for the Green Music Center at California’s Sonoma State University; communications manager at San Francisco Opera; director of public affairs at the Charleston (S.C.) Symphony Orchestra; and the artistic departments of Carnegie Hall and Tanglewood Music Center. A native of Boston, Freeman holds a bachelor’s degree in trumpet performance from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois.
