DOROTHY WISE has been named executive director of California’s Santa Cruz Symphony. She is a former president of the SCS Board of Directors (1995-1996 and 2014-2016) and was a member of the Symphony Endowment Committee and the Conductor Search Committee. Wise worked in the high-tech industry for more than twenty years. The Santa Cruz Symphony has also announced the appointment of CORDELIA NEFF as director of administration, education and development. Neff was most recently executive director for Friends of the Santa Cruz Public Libraries. She trained in biology at Eckerd College (St. Petersburg, Fla.) and has played clarinet since fourth grade. Neff currently plays with the Wind Ensemble at the University of California-Santa Cruz and volunteers for the San Jose (Calif.) and Santa Cruz County Youth Symphonies.
