NIGEL ARMSTRONG has been named concertmaster of the Santa Cruz (Calif.) Symphony. A native of Sonoma, California, and a graduate of the Curtis Institute, he succeeds CHRISTINA ANDERSON, who has held the concertmaster post since 1999 and will remain with the orchestra as a section violinist.
