The Spokane (Wash.) Symphony has announced the appointment of KRISTINA PLOEGER as music director of the Spokane Symphony Chorale. She is an associate professor and director of choral activities at Eastern Washington University. Ploeger was formerly artistic director of the Spokane Area Youth Chorus, and has taught music at Spokane’s Gonzaga University and in Spokane-area schools, as well as elsewhere in the state. With degrees from Edmonds (Wash.) Community College, Central Washington University, and Eastern Washington University, she is currently completing a DMA in choral conducting from the University of Kentucky.
