The Philadelphia Youth Orchestra has named KEVIN GIFFORD development director. He has held development posts at Philadelphia’s Black Pearl Chamber Orchestra, Opera Philadelphia, and the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance. Gifford has also worked in production with the Mendelssohn Club of Philadelphia, with Philadelphia’s Piffaro: The Renaissance Band, and with Tempesta di Mare, the city’s period-performance orchestra. He holds a bachelor’s degree in music education and a certificate in oboe performance from the State University of New York-Potsdam, and a master’s degree in arts administration from Philadelphia’s Drexel University.
