“ ‘Music is coming.’ The score to the HBO television series Game of Thrones as performed by a full orchestra and chorus with visual effects, that is,” reads an unsigned article on Tuesday (8/9) at New York classical radio station WQXR. “The popular show and its composer Ramin Djawadi will tour a live concert version of GoT to more than two dozen venues in the U.S. and Canada in 2017.… The first date is set for Feb. 15 in Kansas City, Mo., and a stop at Madison Square Garden is planned for March 7. ‘The idea behind this is to showcase how the music enhances those experiences for the audience,’ Djawadi told Time Magazine, calling the concert ‘an immersive visual experience.’ … What’s certain is that the live events will give Game of Thrones fans a Westeros fix while they anxiously wait for the seventh season to air in the summer of 2017.
