Astral Artists, a Philadelphia-based organization dedicated to developing the early careers of classical musicians, has appointed DAN VISCONTI artistic advisor. A composer, concert curator, and music writer, Visconti is currently director of artistic programming at Chicago’s Fifth House Ensemble. His music has been performed at such venues as Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, Walt Disney Concert Hall, London’s Barbican Theatre, and the Sydney Opera House. He has held composer residencies with the California and Arkansas symphonies and the Metropolitan Opera.
