The Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra has named Iranian-American harpsichordist MAHAN ESFAHANI to a three-year residency as its first Baroque Conversations artistic partner. He will make his debut in that role at LACO’s October 6 Baroque Conversations concert at Zipper Concert Hall, performing music of Berlin from the mid-18th century for solo harpsichord and for harpsichord and strings. In subsequent seasons he will explore Baroque music of London and Venice. As artistic partner Esfahani will also be featured in recitals and discussions offered free to the community outside of the traditional concert hall.
