The Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, a conductorless ensemble based in New York City, has appointed its principal clarinetist, ALAN R. KAY, to a three-year term as artistic director. Kay is also principal clarinetist in New York’s Riverside Symphony and Little Orchestra Society, and has held that role in the American Symphony Orchestra and the Orchestra of St. Luke’s. Also a conductor, Kay has led orchestras and chamber ensembles throughout the metro New York area.
