The Wichita Symphony Orchestra in Kansas has appointed three musicians to its roster beginning this season: J. BRADLEY BAKER, piano and celeste; AMANDA HUDNALL, E-flat clarinet; and ALLISON LINT, section violin.
J. Bradley Baker, also keyboardist for the Tuscaloosa (Ala.) Symphony Orchestra, has served as head coach for Wichita Grand Opera, Natchez (Miss.) Opera, Opera Birmingham in Alabama, and for numerous university programs. Baker was also director of chamber music for the Hot Springs (Ark.) Music Festival. He holds degrees from North Dakota State University, Cleveland Institute of Music, and the University of Alabama.
Amanda Hudnall is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas Conservatory of Music, recently received a master’s degree in performance from Northwestern University, and pursued further training this summer at Aspen Music Festival and School. She has performed in the Swan Quartet, which was awarded first prize in the 2015 Chicago Woodwind Ensemble Competition.
Allison Lint is co-concertmaster of the Hays (Kans.) Symphony Orchestra and a former member of Ohio’s Akron Symphony Orchestra. She holds degrees from Oberlin Conservatory of Music and the University of Akron. Diagnosed as a teen with a rare illness called Vasculitis, she started Violin for Vasculitis, a nonprofit organization that strives to bring awareness of the condition to all 50 states.
