The Minnesota Orchestra Board of Directors has chosen Life Director and Board Vice Chair MARILYN CARLSON NELSON as chair elect; she will succeed WARREN MACK as chair at the board’s annual meeting on December 2. Nelson is co-CEO of Carlson Holdings and former CEO of the global travel and hospitality company Carlson. She chaired the Minnesota Orchestra’s Symphony Ball in 1973, joined the orchestra’s board later that year, and was named a life director in 2006. In 2015, along with her husband, Glen Nelson, she funded the orchestra’s historic tour to Cuba.
