This year, for the first time, you can watch video of the concert led by the five conductors in the League’s Bruno Walter National Conductor Preview. The video—featuring Conner Gray Covington, Roderick Cox, Paul Ghun Kim, Rebecca Miller, and Stefan Sanders—is available now through Wednesday, November 9, 2016. Each conductor led the Nashville Symphony in three contrasting selections in a May 11 public performance at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center. Guiding them during the Preview was Giancarlo Guerrero, Nashville Symphony’s music director and a 2001 Preview participant. The video also includes exclusive interviews with each conductor.

The Preview is a showcase of talented conductors poised for music directorships and staff conducting positions at American orchestras. Participants are selected by an independent panel of music professionals. The League produces the event as a service to its members, enabling search committees, musicians, orchestra executives, and industry professionals to network on-site, observe rehearsal styles, and discover multiple conductors from around the world—all on one stage.

The 2016 Bruno Walter National Conductor Preview is made possible by a generous gift from Martha Rivers Ingram. Additional support is provided by a generous grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.
