The Women’s Philharmonic Advocacy is currently accepting 2016 WPA Performance Grant applications from orchestras and ensembles in the United States. Grants are offered to encourage orchestras to perform music composed by historic and contemporary women composers. Grants range in amounts from $500 to $1,000 (total available funding is $15,000). Deadline is October 14, 2016. The Women’s Philharmonic was founded by Elizabeth Seja Min, Miriam Abrams, and Nan Washburn; during its years of operation it received seventeen ASCAP awards as well as the League of American Orchestras’ John S.
