Minnesota’s Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra has announced that EUNICE KIM was chosen by its musician-comprised audition committee for a permanent post in the violin section; since 2013 she had performed several times with the SPCO as a guest musician. Kim has appeared as soloist with the Philadelphia Orchestra, Louisville Orchestra, and Albany (N.Y.) Symphony Orchestra and has participated in numerous music festivals as a performer and teacher. A native of the San Francisco Bay area, she began violin studies at age six in the Preparatory Division of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She is a winner of Astral Artists’ 2012 national auditions, and recently earned her bachelor’s degree from the Curtis Institute of Music.
