“Paducah Symphony Orchestra executive director Daniel Sene has resigned, effective at the end of this month,” reports John Null in Friday’s (10/7) WKMS radio website (Paducah, Kentucky). “Sene, who has held the post since 2011, is relocating to Nashville. PSO board president Clay Howerton says the orchestra has seen remarkable growth during Sene’s time there and Sene will remain a part of the ‘PSO family.’ ‘We have had several accomplishments to celebrate, including the massive expansion of the education programs and services, doubling the subscriber and donor base, launching Score magazine, and enhancing/starting several new fundraising initiatives, most notably PA*BREW*CA Beer Fest,’ wrote Sene, in his resignation letter. ‘Even with all of these successes, I truly feel the best years for the PSO are still ahead!’ Howerton said the board has already formed a search team for the next executive director, but he said there’s no rush because the orchestra has a reliable infrastructure in place. The PSO board will discuss the search at its October 20 meeting.”
