The Bowdoin International Music Festival, at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, has announced the appointment of DANIEL NITSCH as executive director. He joined the festival staff in 2015 as director of admissions and operations. Prior to that, he was operations manager at the Yellow Barn Music Festival and Institute in Putney, Vermont. Nitsch holds a bachelor’s degree from Oberlin College in classical guitar performance. While at Oberlin he served as assistant conductor of the Northern Ohio Youth Orchestra and held internships with the Cleveland Orchestra, San Francisco’s American Bach Soloists, and the Music@Menlo festival in Atherton, California.
