The Montclair Orchestra, a semi-professional orchestra established in 2016 in the New York City suburb of Montclair, New Jersey, has announced the appointment of DAVID CHAN as its first music director; he will lead the orchestra in its inaugural season, 2017-18. Chan is currently in his seventeenth season as concertmaster of New York’s Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, and is active as a violin soloist, conductor, chamber musician, and teacher.
