Each musician performs with an orchestra that is a member of the League of American Orchestras. Learn what motivates these artists to go above and beyond the expected—and how to foster the full range of potential that musicians have to provide meaningful service through music. This new League program is made possible by Ford Motor Company Fund. The awardees were selected by a panel of industry professionals through a competitive process. Each musician received a $2,500 grant, with another $2,500 going to his or her orchestra to fund professional development focused on community service and engagement. Information about the next round of awards will be announced in mid-December.
