The Aspen Music Festival and School in Colorado has announced the appointment of KEITH ELDER as vice president and general manager, effective on January 23, 2017. Elder goes to the festival from the Eastman School of Music, where he was director of concert activities and artistic and executive director of presentations. Prior to that, he was vice president of operations at the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and held several positions over eighteen years at the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Boston Pops, and Tanglewood Music Center. He holds a BS in music and arts administration from Indiana University (concentrations in tuba and technical theater) and a JD from New England Law.
