New music-business master’s degree in Liverpool, with Royal Liverpool Philharmonic

In England, the University of Liverpool has announced a new postgraduate master’s program in the business of classical music, in partnership with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic. Students in the program will study artistic planning, audience development, music education, marketing, communications, fundraising, and business models at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall and Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra. Liverpool Philharmonic company members will offer a series of guest seminars, and students will specialize in one of the key aspects of the business of classical music as part of a work placement program with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic.
