ABRAHAM PEREZ will join the staff of California’s San Luis Obispo Symphony on February 15 as music education director. He has served as a teaching artist liaison for the Young Musicians Foundation in Los Angeles,where he worked with pre-K through eighth-grade students, and was a woodwind instructor for the Anaheim (Calif.) City School District. Perez is a graduate of Cal State University, Long Beach, with a bachelor’s degree in music education and instrumental performance and a master’s in clarinet performance.
