The Hartford Symphony Orchestra in Connecticut will partner with Hartford’s TheaterWorks for three performances of Liszt’s A Faust Symphony from March 10 to 12 at The Bushnell, led by Music Director Carolyn Kuan. Eric Ort, an artistic associate at TheaterWorks, will serve as artistic director of the Faust Symphony adaptation, featuring a script by WNPR radio host and Hartford Courant columnist Colin McEnroe. The performance will incorporate a series of contemporary monologues by TheaterWorks actors, among them Crystal Dickinson and R. Ward Duffy. McEnroe has previously collaborated with the HSO, including on two Talcott Mountain Music Festival programs and as host of a 2008-09 series for the orchestra on Copland, Bernstein, and Gershwin.
