The Delaware Symphony Orchestra has named KRISTIN PETERSON as development director. Her more than 20 years of development experience includes senior positions with Michigan State University and Michigan’s Albion College, and as director of development of the Lansing Symphony Orchestra, where she oversaw individual giving, including the orchestra’s first-ever planned giving campaign, and corporate and foundation support. Previously, Peterson owned and operated a private piano studio, and was also concert piano technician for Michigan State University, development intern at the Michigan Theater Foundation, and a client services manager for Steinway & Sons Pianos. Education includes an Associate of Arts in Piano Performance from Stephens College, Missouri; a BMus in Applied Piano Pedagogy and Piano Technology from Michigan State University; and graduate work in Musicology at Louisiana State University.
