The Taki Concordia Conducting Fellowship for women conductors has selected Lina Gonzalez-Granados as the new Taki Concordia Conducting Fellow for the 2017-19 seasons. Gonzalez-Granados, a native of Cali, Colombia, is founder and artistic director of the Boston-based Unitas Ensemble, which specializes in Latin-American repertoire. This summer she will serve as assistant conductor during Carnegie Hall’s National Youth Orchestra of the USA tour, working with Marin Alsop, who founded Taki Concordia in 2002. She holds two conducting degrees from New England Conservatory and is currently a doctoral conducting student at Boston Conservatory. In addition, Marta Gardolinska was selected as an Associate Fellow, and Barbara Dragan was awarded Honorable Mention.
