The Abilene Philharmonic in Texas has appointed KEVIN SMITH executive director. Smith previously was general manager of the Lauderhill Performing Arts Center in Lauderhill, Florida, and also served as operations manager of the Palm Beach Symphony. A double bass player, Smith graduated from Florida State University with a degree in business management and music.
