The Carmel Symphony Orchestra in Indiana has named JANNA HYMES music director, effective July 1. Hymes has served as music director for the Williamsburg Symphony Orchestra of Virginia since 2004, and occupies the same position at the Maine Pro Musica Orchestra, which she founded in 2008. Hymes holds degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the College-Conservatory of Music of the University of Cincinnati. Hymes will lead her first concert as music director on October 14 at the Palladium at the Center for the Performing Arts in Carmel.
