The Austin Symphony Orchestra in Texas has appointed ERIN WIEGERT as development associate/major gifts officer. Wiegert assumed her duties with the symphony on May 17. A graduate of Boston University with a bachelor of science degree in journalism, Wiegert also earned a master of professional studies in public relations and corporate communications from Georgetown University. She goes to the Austin Symphony from her position as donor relations manager for World Food Program USA in Washington, D.C. Previously, she served as corporate and foundation relations associate for the Pulmonary Hypertension Association in Silver Spring, MD and was a writer for the Daily Free Press in Boston, MA.
