The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra has announced a two-year contract extension for DONALD RUNNICLES as principal guest conductor through the 2018-19 season. Runnicles will appear as guest conductor for approximately four weeks annually. The agreement builds upon previous contract extensions, making Runnicles’ complete tenure as ASO principal guest conductor eighteen years. In addition to the Atlanta Symphony, Runnicles is the general music director of the Deutsche Opera Berlin, chief conductor of BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, and music director of the Grand Teton Music Festival in Jackson, Wyo.
