Concerts from the Las Vegas Philharmonic’s 2016-17 season will be broadcast on Sunday evenings beginning on June 4 on Nevada Public Radio’s Classical 89.7 FM. The first broadcast will feature Music Director Donato Cabrera leading the orchestra’s opening-night performance on September 10, 2016 of Mahler’s Symphony No. 4, Mozart’s “Exsultate, jubilate” with soprano Maria Valdes, and Kevin Beavers’s Bright Sky. Additional air dates include June 11, 18, 25, July 2, 9, 16, and 23. Each broadcast will include a conversation between Cabrera and Dave Becker, Nevada Public Radio’s programming director. Broadcasts will also be streamed online at the same dates and times at KNPR. This is the second season that the Las Vegas Philharmonic’s season performances have been aired on Nevada Public Radio.
