The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra has announced the appointment of LINDA MOXLEY as vice president of marketing and communications, effective August 21, 2017. Moxley is currently executive director of the Baltimore Choral Arts Society. Prior to that, Moxley was vice president of marketing and public relations at the Baltimore Symphony, after serving as the orchestra’s director of artistic and education programs. She has also held positions as marketing and public relations director with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, and as symphony pops manager and assistant director of marketing and public relations with the San Francisco Symphony. Moxley served on the boards of the Greater Baltimore Cultural Alliance, the American Marketing Association, and the National Academy of Recording, Arts and Sciences. She has taught arts management courses at Goucher College, and has led marketing seminars for the League of American Orchestras. Moxley earned a bachelor’s degree in music education and piano from the State University of New York at Fredonia and a master’s degree in arts management from the University of Cincinnati.
