New Music Gathering’s fourth annual conference will take place at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee from May 17 to 19, 2018. The conference’s theme will be accessibility. The application period to attend New Music Gathering will open September 1. New Music Gathering is an annual three-day conference dedicated to the performance, production, promotion, support, and creation of new concert music. Its founders are Lainie Fefferman, Daniel Felsenfeld, Mary Kouyoumdjian, Matt Marks, and Jascha Narveson. Prior conferences have included roundtable discussions, lecture-recitals, concerts, and consultations with industry professionals. New Music Gathering’s previous conferences were held at Bowling Green State University in Ohio; the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore; and San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
