Every year, members of the League of American Orchestras state that one of their top concerns is the status of music education available to students. A prime opportunity to speak up and display strength in numbers is to celebrate National Arts in Education Week, which takes place September 10 through 16, 2017. The League encourages orchestras to queue up for social media with interesting testimonials, photos, and engaging videos that demonstrate support for and the value of in-school music education. All arts disciplines participate in National Arts in Education Week, and orchestras are strong members of the arts community speaking up for an equitable arts education for all students. Share your stories and posts with audiences, friends, and elected officials. For social media, remember to include #artsed or #artsedweek and to tag the League so we can promote your posts and help make sure that everyone is aware of the importance of arts education for all.
