Singer-songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen will perform with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra at the Hilbert Circle Theatre on November 21. Steve Hackman will lead the orchestra in arrangements of Jepsen’s songs, along with sets featuring guitar and string quartet. Jepsen, a native of Canada best known for her 2012 single “Call Me Maybe,” has also performed the title role in Broadway’s Cinderella by Rodgers and Hammerstein, and in June she appeared with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. The Indianapolis Symphony’s other 2017-18 pops events include a concert with Hamilton’s Leslie Odom Jr.; several programs of film music with screenings, including the Harry Potter series, E.T., and La La Land; and the music of U2.
