Cape Arts and Entertainment, the parent organization of the Cape Symphony and Conservatory in Massachusetts, has appointed JONATHAN KALEDIN president and CEO, effective October 16. Kaledin, originally from Boston, trained as a cellist and musicologist and as a lawyer, and has worked for more than 30 years as a business executive and lawyer in the environmental field. He served as executive director of the Boston-based National Water Education/Funding Council; executive director of the Alliance for Water Stewardship; New York regional counsel for the Nature Conservatory; general counsel of environmental affairs for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts; and executive vice president/general counsel of Natural Systems Utilities in Princeton, New Jersey. He played cello in the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra from 1984 to 1996 and in the Albany (N.Y.) Symphony Orchestra from 1996 to 2007.
