The Boise Philharmonic Association has appointed JENNIFER DRAKE interim music director of the Boise Philharmonic Youth Orchestra for the 2017-18 season. Drake, who has lived in Boise since 1999, is a member of the viola section of the Boise Philharmonic, principal violist of the Boise Baroque Chamber Orchestra, and co-artistic director with conductor Robert Franz of the Idaho Orchestra Institute, a summer camp. This season, she will lead the youth orchestra in three classical concerts, a concerto competition, weekly rehearsals, and chamber performances. She is music director of the Serenata Orchestra, a Boise-based community orchestra, and is assistant conductor and principal violist for the Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival.
