“Susan Beaudry has been named executive director of the Springfield Symphony Orchestra, succeeding Peter Salerno, whose retirement was announced last month,” reads an unsigned Sunday (11/5) article in the Republican (Springfield, Mass.). “SSO Board of Directors President Tony Falcetti and Music Director Kevin Rhodes made the announcement from the stage of Symphony Hall before the start of Saturday night’s concert. Beaudry has served as interim director in recent months and previously was the SSO’s director of development. Prior joining the SSO two years ago, Beaudry was the fundraising chief of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and director of development for Berkshire United Way. A graduate of the University Massachusetts at Amherst Isenberg School of Management, Beaudry began her career as a national and international product marketing manager for Simplex of Gardner. She lives in Middlefield.”
