The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra in New York has announced a promotion and additional title for JENNIFER BARBEE. Serving as the Buffalo Philharmonic’s director of development since 2010, Barbee now adds the title of associate director, a new position at the orchestra. Barbee will continue lead the development efforts and will take on responsibilities in the areas of special projects, external affairs, and staff leadership. From 2002 to 2010, she was the director of development at the Virginia Symphony, and previously held positions at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. Barbee received her undergraduate degree from Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music and did her graduate work at the University of Colorado-Boulder. She is a graduate of the League of American Orchestras’ Executive Leadership Program for Marketing and Development Professionals.
