The Virginia Symphony Orchestra, based in Hampton Roads, has selected ELIZABETH BAROODY as vice president of development. Baroody has nearly two decades of fundraising experience with a background in strategic planning, major giving, and campaign implementation. She most recently served as executive director of development at Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters in Virginia, where she created a comprehensive strategy for major gift development. Previously, Baroody was assistant vice president at Amita/Alexian Brothers Health System in suburban Chicago, and she was vice president of development and marketing at Chicago’s Saint Anthony Hospital. Baroody also previously served as director of development at Cleveland Clinic and was part of a team that raised over $1.25 billion in a comprehensive campaign.  A native Ohioan, Baroody was member of the Hampton Roads-based CIVIC Executive Leadership class of 2018.
