Peter Bay, music director of the Austin Symphony in Texas, will be featured on a Facebook livestream on March 2 at 10 a.m., speaking about the critical role the arts play in the Austin community. The livestream at the Austin Symphony’s Facebook page is part of the city’s Amplify Austin Day, an annual 24-hour event that encourages Austinites to give to their favorite local non-profits. Amplify Austin Day begins March 1 at 6 p.m. and concludes on March 2 at 6 p.m. Since the first Amplify Austin in 2013, $35 million has been raised for local nonprofits.
