Kathryn Alexander, Andrew Rudin, Christopher Theofanidis, and Scott Wheeler each received $10,000 awards “toward a recording and a concert at the Academy…. Matthew Aucoin, artist in residence at the Los Angeles Opera, and a noted conductor as well as a composer … receives the $20,000 Benjamin H. Danks Award in Music…. John Aylward’s receipt of the Walter Hinrichsen Awards in Music guarantees the publication of one of his works by C.F. Peters. Laurie San Martin has received the [$10,000] Andrew Imbrie Awrad in Music for demonstrating artistic merit in mid-career…. Charles Ives Fellowships of $15,000 each will go to Peter van Zandt Lane and Matthew Schreibeis, while Ives Scholarships of $7,500 each have been awarded to emerging composers Theophilus Chandler, Jonathan Cziner, Jack Frerer, Eli Greenhoe, Sunbim Kim, and Peter S. Shin. John Mackey has received the $10,000 Wladimir and Rhoda Lakond Award in Music, while Jesse Jones and Missy Mazzoli each get $15,000 Goddard Lieberson Fellowships in Music.”
