The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra has appointed GRACE SIPUSIC as vice president of development and SAMEED AFGHANI as general manager.

Grace Sipusic joins the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra from the Florida Orchestra, where she served as chief development officer since 2016. Prior to the Florida Orchestra, Sipusic served in several roles at the Cleveland Orchestra between 2010 and 2016, including director of individual giving and interim chief development officer. Before joining the Cleveland Orchestra, Sipusic held positions in development and programming at the Western Reserve Historical Society. An Ohio native, she has degrees in history from Cleveland State University and John Carroll University.

Sameed Afghani will lead multiple facets of the Atlanta Symphony including operations, production, library, and management of the orchestra’s schedule. He goes to the ASO from the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, where he served as manager of audio media and operations. Prior to joining the CSO, Afghani was executive director of Florida’s Ocala Symphony Orchestra. Afghani is a native of Chicago and holds degrees in finance, trumpet performance, and instrumental conducting from the University of Florida.
