The Cincinnati May Festival is inviting singers, instrumentalists, and ensembles to audition to perform in its free May 20 “Sing Hallelujah!” concert exploring the expression “Hallelujah!” from multiple cultural perspectives. The concert at Music Hall takes place during this year’s May Festival from May 18 to May 26, featuring the May Festival Chorus and Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. Performers may submit video auditions until April 20 via YouTube. Selected participants will be notified before the end of April. “This is quite literally open to all types of music and musicians,” says 2018 May Festival Creative Partner Rollo Dilworth. “Whether you sing rock, country, R&B, gospel, funk, folk or love to rap, we are looking for soloists, instrumentalists, small ensembles, large choirs, and everything in between.” Audition guidelines and information are available at the May Festival website.
