On May 5, the Symphony of Northwest Arkansas will perform a staged version of Act I of Puccini’s La Bohème, led by Music Director Paul Haas, to conclude its 2017-18 season. The concert at the Walton Arts Center in Fayetteville will also include Strauss’s tone poem Also Sprach Zarathustra. Shana Gold—who has staged plays and readings at Northwest Arkansas’ TheatreSquared and at the Arkansas New Play Festival—will serve as director for the Puccini, and the cast will include soprano Danielle Talamantes (Mimì), tenor Kyle Tomlin (Rodolfo), baritone Jesse Stock (Marcello), bass-baritone Alexander Adams-Leytes (Benoit), baritone Thomas Gunther (Schaunard), and bass Benjamin LeClair (Colline).
