The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra will perform a free concert on May 10 in the Historic Fourth Ward Park Amphitheater, the first installment in a new collaboration with Atlanta BeltLine, Inc., an Atlanta urban redevelopment program. Led by ASO Assistant Conductor Stephen Mulligan, the program will include Rossini’s Overture to L’italiana in Algeri, Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons featuring Associate Concertmaster Justin Bruns, and Mendelssohn’s “Italian” Symphony. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. More programming will be announced in the coming weeks. “Performing on the BeltLine is an important development in our mission to be ‘In Concert With Community,’ ” said ASO Executive Director Jennifer Barlament. “We look forward to connecting more Atlantans to the power of live orchestral music.” The performances are part of an Atlanta BeltLine initiative to provide free, accessible art to Atlantans.
