“The Bravo! Vail Music Festival has named another new executive director: Caitlin Murray, its onetime VP of development, is to succeed Jennifer Teisinger in the job,” writes Nicholas Beard in last Thursday’s (5/17) MusicalAmerica.com (subscription required). “Murray, current director of leadership gifts for Colorado Public Radio, starts her new job in September, after the upcoming festival, which runs June 21-August 2. Bravo! Vail this summer alternately hosts the Dallas Symphony, Philadelphia Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, and the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields…. Teisinger is leaving for personal reasons, according to the festival. Her accomplishments while in the job have included establishing a New Works Fund to commission and premiere five pieces for the 30 anniversary season in 2017. She also expanded the after-school programming and introduced a family concert series…. Murray previously worked with the festival in various jobs for ten years, including the aforementioned development slot.” Pianist Anne-Marie McDermott is the festival’s artistic director.
