Artistic: Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestras

Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestras (WYSO), based in Madison, has named KYLE KNOX as music director of WYSO and as conductor of the Youth Orchestra, effective July 1, 2018. Knox holds degrees from the Juilliard School in New York and UW-Madison, and appeared as a clarinet player with the Philadelphia Orchestra and the Santa Fe Opera Orchestra. He served as associate principal clarinet at the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, and eventually extended his professional work into teaching and conducting. Knox has appeared with the Madison Opera, Madison Symphony Orchestra, University Opera, Middleton Community Orchestra, and the Madison Savoyards.
