The Austin Symphony is in the midst of its sixteenth summer season of free Sunday evening outdoor concerts at Hartman Concert Park, in front of the Long Center City Terrace. The season opened on June 3 and continues through August 26, with music ranging from jazz and light classical to pops and film scores. Each week a different group of musicians from the orchestra is featured, alternating among strings, woodwinds, brass, and big band. The most recent program, a big-band program on June 24, featured Anthony Corroa leading selections including “Take the ‘A’ Train,” “Come Fly With Me,” “Laura,” and “I’m Gonna Sit Right Down and Write Myself a Letter.”
