Maine’s Bangor Symphony Orchestra will partner with Geaghan Brothers Brewing for a June 29 event at the Bangor Arts Exchange Ballroom in downtown Bangor. There will be tastings of four craft beers, and piano and violin music themed to each selection will be performed by Bangor Symphony Orchestra Concertmaster Trond Saeverud and Music Director Lucas Richman. On tap will be a traditional Nordic brew known as a Vossaøl, paired with a Norwegian fiddle melody performed by Saeverud. Additional music and beer pairings will be announced. Andrew Geaghan, Geaghan Brothers’ owner and head brewer, said, “While brewing beer is a very scientific endeavor, it is also one of my largest creative outputs. As a musician I have always had a deep appreciation for the emotive qualities of music, and I am excited to work with the Bangor Symphony and our brewers to pair musical movements that match our beers in feel and spirit.”
