The San Diego Youth Symphony and Conservatory is hosting its fourteenth annual International Youth Symphony Program from July 16 to 28 in San Diego. Seventeen musicians from ten countries—Canada, Croatia, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Taiwan, Romania, Switzerland, and the U.K.—will play alongside San Diego Youth Symphony musicians in the program, led by Music Director Jeff Edmons. Musicians will perform a free July 24 concert in Balboa Park in San Diego and a full concert on July 28 at California Center for the Arts in Escondido, featuring Mozart’s Symphony Nos. 31 (“Paris”) and 35 (“Haffner”) and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 2. From July 16 to 27 students can also be heard in free open rehearsals at Saint Paul’s Cathedral in downtown San Diego.
