The weeklong SummerFest 2018 will feature a mix of classical and pops concerts from July 22 to 29 at venues in McCall, Idaho. Featured in the opening program at McCall Community Congregational Church is guitarist Mak Grgic performing with festival musicians including organist Tom Robin Harris, trumpeter Scott Thornburg, a brass quintet, and cello quartet. Grgic will also perform Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez on a program with the SummerFest Orchestra featuring Falla’s The Three Cornered Hat: Three Dances from Part II, Ginastera’s Dances from Estancia, and Marquez’s Danzón No. 2. Vocalist Rachel Tyler will perform a pops concert with the orchestra, there will be a free family concert, and an outdoor cabaret performance will be held at Jug Mountain Ranch Clubhouse. Violinist Tim Fain will perform the Brahms Violin Concerto on a program of Beethoven, Liszt, and Verdi. SummerFest is led by Artistic Director and Conductor David Itkin and presented the McCall Music Society.
